Peridot might sound like a fancy French dessert, but it's actually derived from the Arabic word "faridat," which means "gem." Not too shabby for a gem with a humble origin!
One of Peridot's signature shades is a glorious olive green, like the olives you'd find in your favourite Mediterranean dish. And trust us, this gem will add just the right amount of zest to your jewellery collection.
Did you know that Peridot is the gem given to celebrate a 16th wedding anniversary?!
Ever wondered about gemstones falling from the sky? Well, Peridot has! In rare cases, this gem can be found in meteorites that have crash-landed on our precious planet.
Rumor has it that Cleopatra was quite the Peridot fan. She believed these enchanting gems brought renewal and vitality, much like the lush banks of the River Nile. So, when you wear Peridot, you're walking in the footsteps of ancient royalty!
Peridot has an adventurous spirit. Formed deep within the Earth's mantle, these gems are brought to the surface by volcanic eruptions.
Apart from their stunning looks, Peridots are believed to have healing powers. They are said to bring prosperity, peace, and good luck to their wearers. Also, this gem is believed to inspire creativity, spark imagination, and open the mind to new possibilities. So, if you're looking for a little extra luck in life, Peridot might just be your gem of choice!
If you're an August baby, rejoice, for you have a gem that perfectly captures the essence of a sunny summer day! So, if you want to celebrate your birthday in true style, adorn yourself with this captivating gem and let it be a symbol of your unique and sparkling personality.
Never use a steam or ultrasonic cleaner to clean your gem! It is super vulnerable to thermal shock. Better use a soft bristle brush with a mild dish soap in warm water. Also, they should be stored with care to avoid scratching by gems with greater hardness!
