A rubover setting -also known as bezel- is a design where a thin rim of metal surrounds the edge of the gemstone, holding it securely in place. Unlike prong settings, which use small metal claws, the rubover wraps the stone entirely (or partially), offering a smooth and modern look.
This setting doesn’t just look sleek—it’s incredibly practical too. It’s great for active lifestyles and perfect for protecting delicate gemstones.
Rubover settings are among the most secure options for jewellery. The metal rim shields your gemstone, protecting it from chips, scratches, and accidental knocks.
The rubover setting is ideal if you love a modern, minimalist aesthetic. Its simple lines highlight the gemstone’s natural beauty without overshadowing it, creating a look that’s timeless and chic.
Whether you’re into diamonds, sapphires, or even softer stones like opals or emeralds, the rubover setting offers excellent protection while showcasing your gem beautifully.
Say goodbye to catching your jewellery on jumpers or hair! With no protruding prongs, rubover settings are smooth and practical, making them super comfy for everyday wear.
If you’re considering a new piece of jewellery, why not give the rubover setting a closer look? You’ll love its practicality, elegance, and how effortlessly it fits into your life!
